  1. Prepare and bring food with you

To avoid food poisoning while traveling, you can prepare and bring food with you. Foods you pack are relevant to whatever condition you may have such as GERD, DM2, obesity, food allergy, etc.

       2. Keep a sufficient water supply

Take along water. It can keep you healthy and vigorous. Dehydration may cause many health problems such as dizziness, constipation, heat stroke, etc. Not good traveling companions.

       3. Choose outfits made from breathable fabrics

This is especially important if you travel in the summer or most anytime in the tropics! Pack outfits that are made from breathable fabrics and have high coverage to avoid heat.

      4. Pack a first-aid kit

Your first-aid kit should contain items to help patch up wounds, medications to prevent and treat urgent conditions, supportive medical tools, personal hygiene items, etc.

      5. Don’t forget hand sanitizers

A hand sanitizer or (unscented) wipes will help you stay away from the risk of contracting bacteria or virus. Helicobacter pylori virus is one of the main causes of stomach cancer and ulcers is a particular concern.
